Over the weekend, I was feeling a little restless. I wanted to take a small trip and get out of Laramie after a long week. I decided to drive south of Laramie and ended up driving to Colorado. After a bit of time I ended up in The Red Feather Lakes area. Let me tell you it’s a gorgous area. I’m sure in the fall it’s abolutely beautiful. Here are a few pictures I took while on my mini adventure.

I’ve had a Spotify account since 2010. Back in those days you had to be invited. Somehow a friend of mine got invited and then invited me. Since then I have been creating playlists that I have enjoyed and discovering some cool bands along the way. I enjoy listening to music both live and recorded. I think music can have a lifelong impact on a person. Because of that I want to share some songs that I have enjoyed or had some impact on me. Introducing my very own song of the day. Enjoy.

XXI is a Christian rock band that formed in 2010 under their original name A Feast For Kings. After the tragic loss of their lead vocalist Eric Gentry in a construction accident they changed their name to XXI. They changed the band name to XXI which is 21 in roman numerals to memorialize Eric Gentry. He was 21 when he died. The band released some music between 2010 and 2020 but havent been all that active since then. The band was signed on Tooth and Nail records and released their second album Inside Out. Their album Inside Out was a solid debut and had some incredible rock elements. Hopefully this isnt the last of XXI.
